Researcher/ Manager | Persons who create and conduct studies.
Researcher / Manager Interface | The user interface with which researchers can create, manage, conduct and analyze their studies.
Participant | People who participate in a study.
Participant Interface (PI) | The user interface through which participants can go through a study.

Study/ Project | Live Study | Requires live control by the researcher.
The researcher actively controls the individual parts during the execution, which then become visible to the participants. Navigation by the participants within the study is only possible to a limited extent. |
Playback study | Especially suitable for laboratory and remote settings. The study does not have to be controlled live, as the participants can navigate through the study themselves. The paths and conditions of this navigation have to be defined beforehand by the researcher in the RI.
Part | A section of a study, comparable to presentation slides. For example, if participants in a study are asked to complete a questionnaire after several performances, each performance should have its own part.
Realization | The actual conduction of the study. Usually, a realization contains information such as its timing or the number of participants.
A study can be conducted multiple times, resulting in multiple realizations.
Session | A session is created when a participant goes through the study. Thus, the execution of a study consists of several sessions each. Typically, a session contains information such as the device used. |
